Welcome to the 2024 meeting of the BME-Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship Alliance (BME-IDEA)!

BME-IDEA brings together participants from academic institutions and industry to network and share best practices in innovation, design and entrepreneurship in biomedical engineering education.

BME-IDEA convenes alongside Biomedical Engineering Society's (BMES) annual conference, and this year's meeting is on October 22-23, 2024 in Baltimore, Maryland at Johns Hopkins University.

This year's BME-IDEA will include opportunities to network, collaborate, and discuss the latest trends and innovations in biomedical engineering design education. The meeting will feature opportunities for professional development for design faculty and staff, including a panel discussion focused on pathways for career advancement, and a session with engineering education experts who will share best practices for planning, conducting, disseminating, and funding design education research. We will also be showcasing the design, implementation and collaboration insights from our BME-IDEA international partners throughout the meeting. 

VentureWell is an organizing member of the BME-IDEA planning team, which is made up of faculty from leading BME programs across the country. We look forward to seeing you in-person at the event!
